GitLab shares soared nearly 11% in late trading Thursday following rumors of a potential acquisition by Datadog. The rally outpaced the broader market's 0.6% decline, with Street Insider reporting an unconfirmed offer above $60 per share—a 37% premium to Wednesday's close.

Market observers noted this isn't the first time Datadog has shown interest. Last July, Reuters reported similar takeover discussions, though neither company has commented on the current speculation. The reported deal WOULD involve financing arrangements through undisclosed partners.
